American documentary filmmaker James C. Fox (born April 25, 1968) is best known for executive producing and directing groundbreaking documentaries about UAPs, including Out of the Blue (2003), The Phenomenon (2020), Moment of Contact, and The Program (2024), and Moment of Contact: New Revelations of Alien Encounters (2025). Over nearly three decades, Fox has treated UAP documentary work as a life's work, turning leaked memos, pilot testimonies, and forgotten incidents into coherent narratives about a non-human presence in our skies. Rather than demanding belief, his films apply intellectual rigor — featuring interviews with military officials, CIA officers, senators, and credible witnesses, building a reputation as a documentarian who makes the subject matter credible. [Previous bio retained]: English-born American. Director/producer of Out of the Blue (2003), I Know What I Saw (2009), The Phenomenon (2020), Moment of Contact (2022), The Program (2024), and Moment of Contact: New Revelations (2025). Three appearances on The Joe Rogan Experience. Son of writer and photographer Charles Fox. Has been making UFO documentaries since the early 1990s — one of the longest-tenured filmmakers in the UAP space.
