The Pentagon's UFO office, AARO, invited retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet in for a friendly chat about UAP. Two and a half hours later, he had called it what it was: an influence operation.
"I laughed at them. I called them out. I said, I'm an information warfare officer in the Navy. I know exactly what you're doing."
In his third Good Trouble Show interview, Admiral Gallaudet walks Matt Ford through the AARO meeting with then-acting director Tim Phillips, what Phillips said about Chris Mellon's critique of the Pentagon UAP historical records report, and why a self-described "Title 50 guy" spent two and a half hours trying to change a flag officer's mind about UFOs. He explains why the Tic Tac UFO could not have been DARPA technology, why balloons inside a carrier strike group's restricted airspace are "not even a remote possibility," and what happened when he confronted former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick at a skeptics' lecture. He also describes the day the emails carrying the Navy UFO videos vanished from the SIPRNET classified network, the 80-year UFO cover up as he sees it, the UAP Disclosure Act and its eminent domain fight, and the UAP Science Advisory Council's new statement calling for Eric Davis and other NDA-bound witnesses to be freed to tell the council what they know about non-human intelligence. And the reason he came: his memoir, Holding Fast in Heavy Seas, on 32 years of Navy leadership and running NOAA in turbulent times.
ABOUT THE GUEST Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, U.S. Navy (ret.), PhD, is a career oceanographer who served 32 years in the U.S. Navy, finishing as the Navy's chief oceanographer, meteorologist, hydrographer and navigator in the Pentagon. His assignments included combat operations aboard an aircraft carrier, counterterrorism work with Navy SEAL teams, antisubmarine warfare support and deep-sea research. He went on to lead NOAA as its acting Administrator and Deputy Administrator and served as acting Under Secretary and Assistant Secretary of Commerce.
He has testified before Congress on UAP and is a member of the U.S. UAP Science Advisory Council, a research affiliate of Harvard University's Galileo Project, and an advisory board member for Americans for Safe Aerospace, the Disclosure Foundation, the Sol Foundation and Skinwalker Ranch. He holds a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and master's and doctoral degrees from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
